WMB's Mission Statement

Our Lord Jesus Christ commanded us to:
"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.'" Matthew 22:37-39 NIV

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you". Matthew 28:19, 20a NIV

At WMB Church our mission statement " . . . making more and better disciples" is an effective way of remembering Christ's Great Commandment and Great Commission.
Disciples are simply followers of Christ, and as we become more and more intentional in making that 'life-saving connection' in our own lives – our personal connection with God –  our lives change, and we become better disciples. As we become better disciples, we in turn begin to serve by connecting ourselves to others, right in the very community where God has placed us. We do this so that others might also become disciples and so that their lives might also be changed for Him. If everyone is connected through gathering. . . if everyone is serving . . . if everyone is going out in their community for God, then we can't help but have more and better disciples.

WMB's Vision Statement

Our vision at WMB is to Glorify God by Gathering in community, Growing in our faith and Giving of ourselves and our resources so that we may Go into the world and build relationships that offer the hope and Grace of Jesus Christ.

WMB's Value Statement

Gather – At WMB, we believe that being a church means to gather as a community in large, medium and small groups to love, encourage and sharpen each other in our faith.
“Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us
not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing but let  us encourage
one another- and all the more as you see the day approaching.”  (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Glorify – At WMB, We believe that God, the creator of the universe, desires our glory, praise and worship and that His glory shines through us into the lives of others.
“I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name
 forever.”  (Psalm 86:12)

Grow – At WMB, we believe that life is a journey of continual growth and discovery. Through the disciplines of Bible study, prayer and worship, both personally and corporately, we will continue to develop and mature in our relationship with Christ and others.
“…from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you
wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture is God-breathed and
useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the
men of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”  (2 Timothy 3:15-16)

Grace – At WMB, we are committed to being a church that expresses God’s grace to those we come in contact with in our community. Grace is receiving something that is undeserved and God demonstrated grace to the world by sending His son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it
is a gift of God-not by works so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2: 8-9 )

Give – At WMB, we believe that we are to give and that there are three dimensions to giving. We are to give by serving God and others by using our spiritual gifts. We are to give of our time and we are to give of our resources.
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give your
selves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labour in the Lord is
  not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58 )

Go – At WMB, we believe that God has called us to leave our comfortable pews and go into the world to love people and share the only news that offers hope, the good news of Jesus Christ.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey all that I
have commanded you. And surely I am with you always until the very end   of the
 age.”  (Matthew 28: 19-20)
