Purpose: The Global Outreach ministry of WMB exists to call, nurture and mobilize our faith community in their commitment to loving and serving (making disciples of) our local urban and global neighbours.


Goals - What We Do:

Love the communities that we encounter by speaking about and displaying the reality and nearness of Jesus, meeting physical needs and reconciling relationships

Learn from the communities that we encounter through asking questions and listening to stories, carefully observing where the Kingdom of God is present in the community and reserving judgment.

Discern and follow through on the new ways in which God is inviting us to think, act and speak in daily life.


Values - How We Do It:

Incarnationally - consistently being WITH people (not just "around" them); humbly and joyfully giving up personal preference and rights in order to deeply give and receive from each other.

Together in Community  - believing that the community of God is the place where God loves us, teaches us and enables us to live as we are called.

With Prayer - believing that the Spirit of God wants to communicate with us and move in power through us to heal, teach, comfort, and protect.

Studying Scripture - believing that the story and pattern of God's relationship with people is revealed there.

With Accountability - believing that there is wisdom and provision in submitting to leadership and following the established guidelines.
