WMB Leadership Board Covenant
As a committed follower of Christ, I love the Lord my God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. I strive to love others as myself, taking Christ as my example and I commit to:
Depending on God for direction in all I do by submitting myself to the authority of His Word, by committing myself to basic spiritual disciplines by acting justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God. Praying regularly for our pastors, for our faith community, for my colleagues in leadership and for our community.
As a leader I commit to:
Serving and being actively involved in the ministries of our faith community. Publicly and privately supporting decisions made by the Leadership Board, Pastoral Team and the church body. Being a champion of our mission and vision. Continuous learning and growth in the Biblical qualities of an elder. Being a discerning listener to people within our faith community. Not entertaining issues from anonymous sources. Actively supporting, encouraging and being accessible to our staff team. Responsible stewardship of our God-given resources. Regular financial tithing.
As a team member I commit to:
Trusting my colleagues, being open and transparent about my life and my views on relevant issues. Maintaining confidentiality in dealing with Leadership Board matters. Contributing to our meetings, speaking the truth in love, actively listening with care and compassion, and extending grace and mercy. Making our meetings a priority, being punctual, prepared and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner. Adding to our sense of community by sharing my life and gifts in a way that strengthens and protects the relationships of each team member including those of marriage and family. Praying for and engaging in fellowship with my team members and their families. Mutual accountability and respect within the Leadership Board.
