 One of our pastors would be happy to discuss the spiritual components of marriage and remarriage with you. Marriage is a special and sacred gift of God for the companionship and joyfulness of mankind. Marriage is the foundation of family life. God thought up marriage and the Bible outlines the principals for a lasting relationship. Policies Marriage Preparation Sessions: If you are planning to be married at WMB by a WMB Pastor, you must attend Marriage Preparation Sessions prior to your wedding. Premarital Workshop Brochure Time: Wedding ceremonies held on Saturdays need to be completed by 3:30 pm. Music: The couple should make their own arrangements. The church has many excellent musicians and worship bands you can ask. A sound technician will be arranged for you (payment is covered in rental fee). Decorations: Need to be provided by the couple. Decorations need to be cleared immediately after the ceremony, due to our Saturday evening services. Legalities: You must purchase a marriage license through the city. Photography: During the ceremony, it is at the discretion of the couple, provided it doesn't take away from the spirit of the ceremony. Miscellaneous: The use of tobacco and alcoholic beverages is prohibited throughout the church building and the premises. The throwing of rice and confetti is prohibited within the church building and on the church property. Wedding Ceremony Fees Non-Members Total: $300 WMB Members Total: $150 (This includes 4 hours of janitorial and audio/visual and sound services. It does not include musician and/or pastor.) Honorariums: It is common for you to provide participants in your wedding with a suitable honorarium for their involvement. You will need to arrange the amount with the musician at the time of booking. We suggest an honorarium of $150 for the Pastor, which includes rehearsal, wedding day and preparation. Your Checklist 1. Set a date and reserve the church building. Rental Request forms are available from the church office. 2. Fill out the "Your Wedding" brochure (also found at the Information Centre) and return it to Julie Preis in the church office. 3. Arrange for a Pastor. Personally talk to and confirm with the pastor who will marry you. 4. Attend marriage preparation sessions if you are being married at WMB by a WMB Pastor.
