Meant to Be
Mission Impact on Patrick
It has almost been a year since we were in New York, and I still miss it. I miss every memory we created. I miss every person we made smile. And I miss every person we helped when we were there for that week. Most of all I miss everyone who went on the trip.
I have been in school and extremely busy lately and some days I even forget that God is there…but I’ve been trying. I’ve been trying to keep in contact with Him each day. I have noticed every day that He has never forgotten about me. I have noticed He is still working through my life in some way, whether it be in class or even in a line at Tim Horton’s. I know God is there.
I’ve been thinking about the whole mission trip and its impact on me, and it is amazing! I know it has affected everyone who went on the trip, and all the people we helped. It had an impact on the little children, the older people, men and women no matter what ethnicity or race. We helped. We served God that week. We served the people of God, and we were served by God. It’s amazing!!!
Words from Steven Curtis Chapman – Meant to Be:
You were meant to be touching
The lives that you touch
And meant to be here
Making this world so much more
Than it would be without you in it
I listened to this song the other day and it was like... WOW! We were there for a reason. We were meant to be touching the lives that we touched!
