Rwanda

WMB and International Teams work together to serve the community of Kigali, Rwanda and the refugee camped located at Kazibe, Rwanda. Through this partnership, people from WMB work with the local church to serve street children, support women transitioning out of prostitution, and do Pastoral Training. WMB has been committed to this relationship since 2005, and the experiences of Rwanda continue to challenge and grow members of the WMB community.

Pastor training in Rwanda

Paul's Story, February 6-14, 2009

Fred, the pastor of a small rural church in Rwanda, approached me after one of our teaching sessions. Through an interpreter, he asked me if I remembered him during our first training session two years earlier. Of course I did. Fred was in my breakout group; a man in his early 50's who felt so insecure that he could hardly look anyone in the eye during even a short conversation. I discovered that when he was young, he was one member of a large, poor family. His father had not allowed him to go to school, and told him repeatedly that he would
