Saul’s extreme zeal for the traditions of his fathers took him to Damascus, to arrest followers of a movement of Jesus that seemed to contradict these traditions. On the way, he got the surprise of his life - an encounter with the resurrected Jesus, and he received a conversion. A conversion that would take his life on a completely different path, one that would impact and influence a generation of pagans in the first century for Jesus, and would continue to make an impact for Christ to this day through his writings in the New Testament.
