At WMB Church, we are very excited to offer Manuscript Bible Study as a way to study scripture together… and there’s a study for everyone! We offer different opportunities for those who are new to this method, as well as those who have experience.

Through these studies, we are given the opportunity to engage scripture within its context, in order to better understand the message God is conveying to us today. We are invited to consider what it means to follow Christ’s mission in our neighbourhoods, city and world, and to learn about his plan to change the world, through us.

Manuscript study is interactive, but also thought provoking!  We gather as one large group together in one room, where we sit around table groups of six or seven. Large group facilitators guide the whole group collectively and help us explore the text and its context, as we learn to observe, interpret and apply.

At WMB, we think it’s important that we engage scripture and learn from it together, and that we accept one another’s perspectives as important. Something unique and special happens when we listen for God’s voice, and learn from one another through honest questions and best insights.

We know many have never experienced a study like this before. That can leave us apprehensive about trying it!  Just know that we are all journeying together with one heart—to discover more fully the difference Jesus makes. We believe we discover this best when we journey together, and that includes you!
