252Basics Grades 1-5 Print E-mail

252Basics is a program for children in grades 1-5 involving large group time with singing, story telling and prayer, complimented with small group time of activities, crafts and discussion.

It is built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52:
"...and Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favour with God and Man."

   1. I need to make the wise choice.

   2. I can trust God no matter what.

   3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Upon arrival, kids are dropped off in their small groups before they head into the large group environment for a time of singing and entertaining and interactive Bible teaching.  Small groups gather again for a chance to talk about what they learned and what it means for them.  Small group leaders invite kids to ask questions as they explore concepts as a group and try to apply them to their own lives.

Kids receive a God Time Card with activities to keep them plugged into the Bible each week as well as a Refrigerator Door page that reminds them and their parents of the week's Bible story and take home point.

Children attending the 9:00 service can be dropped off anytime after 8:50.

At 10:45 children attending the service with their parents may pick up an activity page in the Foyer prior to the service.
