Small Groups at WMB are about:

Becoming an authentic biblical community.
It is an enduring journey involving spiritual friends.  Authenticity is our hope and dream. We long for friends with whom we can be real and honest with about our true spiritual journey.  We look to be biblical - seeking to follow (practice) God's word while participating in God's unfolding love story. Our community is centered on Jesus and His Kingdom.

Getting close enough to each other...
It's about getting close enough to each other, to be the presence of Jesus and to embrace & experience the fullness of the Gospel together - through communion, community and mission.

At WMB we believe we are "sent ones" - that we are about mission. We want to embrace the opportunities to incarnate & share the love, compassion and mercy of Christ with our neighbour - those with whom our paths cross.

We have a wonderful diversity of ‘Small Group’ expressions. Groups have been formed around a variety of factors such as interests, affinities, needs or topics. We anticipate that in the future, groups will become more intergenerational and formed around neighbourhoods and/or a missional focus. 

Small groups meet at various times and locations and explore numerous topics centered around Jesus and His Kingdom.  Many of our groups follow the sermon series in terms of discussion and study. Whether you are a pre-teen, youth, young adult, adult or senior, there is an opportunity and place to belong and serve. Your presence with us can only add to our community mosaic!  

Getting Linked into a Small Group

GroupLink is a first step to help youth, young adults and adults get "linked" with a small group. GroupLink will introduce you to our great leaders in small group ministry, inform you of small group ministry and opportunities, and invite you to join (or consider joining) a small group.

GroupLink is held 3 or 4 times per year: each Fall, Winter and Spring. Please watch for news in the upcoming session.

You, a Small Group Leader?

Looking for an adventure? Have you considered being a small group leader or co-leader?  We are always looking for people – people with a love for Jesus and his mission. But being a leader is not for the faint of heart.  It’s a demanding, and yet enriching experience. You don’t have to be a master of all trades, but you do need some understanding, passion and skills. Some of this can be taught and we provide training and support for all who enter into this adventure!
