The Empty Tomb - Paul McIlwraith

On “ Easter” morning over 2000 years ago, Mary, Peter and John were confronted with an awe-inspiring spectacle, The Empty Tomb. As each of them processed the evidence of the tomb and their experiences with Jesus, a spiritual collision occurred - and they believed.

What are your searching for this Easter? A dead body? a corpse? or a resurrected Jesus? A life of futility or a life of Hope?

He has risen, He has risen indeed!

Jesus Wept Over the City - Paul McIlwraith

Jesus wasn't known for his bouts of crying. We are told three times in which he shed tears in the gospels: He cried at the tomb of his friend Lazarus, he wept over the city of Jerusalem and at the Garden of Gethsemane. Each time, his tears were not for himself but were tears for others. As he rode into Jerusalem for the Passover Festival for the final time in his life, Jesus crested the hill and caught the most magnificent view of the great city of Jerusalem and instead of being overwhelmed with joy, he was overcome with grief and broke out in sobs.

Jesus wept over Jerusalem....is he weeping over our communities today?

A Creation Celebration

"God looked over everything he had made; it was so good, so very good!"  (Genesis 1:31, The Message)

For Earth Day 2007, we consider some ways to agree with God - "it is good". Listen in on our family service and worship the creator while learning some ways we can care for creation.
