The Nativity, the obscure birth of a peasant child, seemingly insignificant at the time spans across hundreds of years and generations to continue to grab our attention today. The Nativity, the story of Jesus, his birth, his life, his ministry and his purpose demonstrates to us that life doesn't have to be empty. The life of The Nativity,  centred around a baby demonstrates a life well lived and a life that we are all invited into. May you be encouraged through this message of Hope at Christmas.

I AM the Light of the World - Paul McIlwraith

Jesus statement, "I am the light of the world", was a proclamation to everyone to "follow me - do not walk in darkness, I will illuminate your way and use you to bring light into your world." These words were uttered about 2000 years ago in the midst of the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles. In was a radical statement then and it remains an audacious claim today. As Christ followers, are our lives evidence of this light? Are we proof that Jesus is the light of our world today? Do we reflect the light of Christ into our darken world or, are we false advertising? Be challenged as you listen to this "I Am" statement of Jesus.

Have you ever noticed that there is alot mentioned about agriculture in the Bible? Read through the gospels and you will discover that Jesus told stories about vineyards, fields, soils and sowing seed and... he talked alot about sheep and sheep's pens. As we continue in our series, "I AM", we pray that you will discover the significance and the challenge that Jesus' self proclamation, "I AM the Gate" of the Sheep's pen was for the people of His culture and for us today as we seek to follow Him.
