Tears are Not Enough - Paul McIlwraith
What is your theology of food? Isn't that kind of a strange question? Did you know that you could have a theology of food? All throughout the Bible we see references to food. It was God's plan from the very beginning for his creation, humanity, to have enough food to sustain themselves. So if God is the giver of food and His desire was for all of humanity to have enough food, why are 30,000 children dying each day around the globe due to extreme poverty? Join us for this special service as our church community partners with World Vision for their 30 Hour Famine focus and discover why "Tears are not Enough".

Nehemiah 2:11-20
Life is full of decisions-some small, some great. We might wonder what God would have us do in this area or that, and sometimes wish He'd just put a letter in our mailbox telling us what the best decisions might be! When it comes to taking next steps in discernment, how do we listen to God and know His voice over our own inner voice? If you are interested in seeking to follow God's will in your life, Nehemiah 2:11-20 outlines some key principles to help with discerning next steps - whether for the practical areas of life, or for aligning overall with Christ's mission to the world. -

Concluding our Nehemiah Series
Narrative. Stories. These tend to be the latest buzz words in the Christian Community today. What's your story? It is interesting as you take time to reflect and ponder the biblical narrative that God has chosen to weave His redemptive message all throughout the pages of the bible in the lives of ordinary people in the story of their lives. As we conclude the series, The Wall, based on the book of Nehemiah in the Old Testament, perhaps we can conclude that the theme of the book was not necessarily the construction project of the wall but that God was actually rebuilding His city by restoring His people to Him. It was the story of their lives. The greater plan that God had in mind from the beginning for His people. So what is your story? How is God been at work in your life? Join us for the conclusion of "The Wall".Read together with your small group Nehemiah chapter 11:1-2.
One Question for Discussion. For the Israelites, they cast lots to repopulate Jerusalem to restore God's glory to the city. Based on what you have read in Nehemiah 11:1-2, what "neighbourhood" has God called you to "move" into to be an imagine bearer for His glory in your world? What does that look like for you? Discuss and dream about this concept with your group and pray for one another as you seek to discern God's purpose and plan for you in this area.

Driven To Tears - Paul McIlwraith
Nehemiah 1:1-11
What causes you to weep? In the Old Testament, in the book of Nehemiah, we see that a disappointing report of the condition of the city of the Jerusalem and the state of people drives Nehemiah to weep and mourn and fast for months. What is it that causes such an overwhelming response from this man? Why was his heart so distraught when he heard about the ruins of the buildings and the walls of this once great city and the shame and disgrace it brought to the people of God.
Join us for this message as we unpack the first chapter of Nehemiah and are challenged in the way we view our city and the people around us today.
